By God's grace, I have learned a thing or two in the 44 years since I became a born-again Christian at age 13 in 1980. I have read many Bible commentaries but have often been disappointed that theologians avoid commenting on the passages I looked up. Therefore, my goal in this blog is not to comment on the entire Holy Bible; but rather, to share what I have learned. To God alone be ALL the praise and credit. Jesus is precious!

II Thessalonians 3:1-2, Wicked And Unreasonable Men

2nd Thessalonians 3:1-2, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.”

Someone once said that life is all about people hurting people. As much as I dislike that quote, it is nevertheless sadly true. I've been hurt by people all my life. That is because we are all imperfect as sinners. I know there have been times in life when I hurt others, but that usually wasn't my intention. Sometimes the things we say don't come out the way we intended. Sometimes things don't go as we planned. Sometimes we make wrong, poor or sinful choices that affect the people around us. We've all had our feelings hurt by people. Many Americans today have become so awful and mean. I try to avoid those types of people. Many people are selfish and only think about themselves.

By God's grace, I have lived so far to age 57. The inspired King James Bible admonishes us in Proverbs 27:1, “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. I am prepared to meet my God if I went home to be with Jesus today. Are you dear reader? I became a born-again Christian at age 13 in 1980. The old account was settled long ago. Once saved, always saved! I have fought the good fight of faith. I have worked day and night since I began my website ministry in 2002, praying for God's Holy Spirit to work in the soul of my web visitors...
2nd Timothy 4:7-8, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
I thank God for the blood of Jesus that washed all my sins away when I got saved 44 years ago...
THE OLD ACCOUNT WAS SETTLED
There was a time, I know,
When in the book of heaven,
An old account was standing
For sins yet unforgiven;
My name was at the top
And many things below,
I went unto the Keeper,
And settled long ago.

Refrain:
Long ago, long ago,
Yes, the old account was settled long ago;
And the record’s clear today,
For He washed my sins away,
When the old account was settled long ago.
I have been cheated, defrauded and robbed many dozens of times in my life. Matthew 24:12 says that the love of many shall wax cold because iniquity abounds in the last days. We are now living in those last days. With an ungodly U.S. government that openly promotes sodomy, abortion, fornication and all manner of evil, the days of our freedom are numbered in America. The handwriting is on the wall, God's wrath is coming to judge us. We've never been so vulnerable to a joint attack by China and Russia. Our military is weak. Our morality is despicable as a nation. Our faith in God is waning. This nation is headed for the dust.

I thank God that as an individual I can choose to do what is right, even if nobody else does. Let the world go to Hell if they want, but my faith is in Jesus Christ and His righteousness alone. Let the world party hardy in their sins, but I am going to serve the Lord with my house (Joshua 24:15). I am going to serve the Lord until it is my time to go home to glory. Amen.

Haggai 1:9

Haggai 1:9, “Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it.  Why?  saith the LORD of hosts...
