By God's grace, I have learned a thing or two in the 47 years since I became a born-again Christian at age 12 in 1979. I have read many Bible commentaries but have often been disappointed that theologians avoid commenting on the passages I looked up. Therefore, my goal in this blog is not to comment on the entire Holy Bible; but rather, to share what I have learned. To God alone be ALL the praise and credit. Jesus is precious!

Matthew 20:20-24 - A Great Passage Teaching The Trinity

Matthew 20:20-14, “Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able. And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father. And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

How could anyone read this Scripture passage and still be a Modalist? A modalist is someone who believes that when they get to Heaven they'll only see God the Father, not the Son. They deny that God and Jesus exist in two separate physical bodies. Modalists teach that God enters into different modes; or God where different hats, so to speak. Modalists foolishly believe that God the Father came to each as Jesus, but then returned to His role as God the Father the Father when He ascended back to Heaven from earth.

Of course, Modalism is of the Devil, a false doctrine of devils. The Bible teaches that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), but that one God exists in the THREE PERSONS of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Colossians 2:2-3, “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. The inspired Scripture teaches that the fulness of the Godhead (Trinity) dwelt in the earthly spirit, soul and body of Jesus. Colossians 2:9, For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus came down from Heaven, the Word of God made incarnate, as God almighty in the flesh (1st Timothy 3:16).

Please note that all Scripture citations are only to the inspired King James Bible, because all of the modern English Bible revisions have been corrupted by Satan. Take a look at what the Devil's Bible butchers did to corrupt 1st Timothy 3:16. By the way, nearly every modern English Bible revision completely removes the important word godhead from Acts 17:29, Romans 1:20 and Colossians 2:9; thus attacking the Triune nature of God. Kindly said, Modalists are not born again Christians, they are hellbound heretics (2nd John 1:9). Thank you for reading.
