By God's grace, I have learned a thing or two in the 44 years since I became a born-again Christian at age 13 in 1980. I have read many Bible commentaries but have often been disappointed that theologians avoid commenting on the passages I looked up. Therefore, my goal in this blog is not to comment on the entire Holy Bible; but rather, to share what I have learned. To God alone be ALL the praise and credit. Jesus is precious!

Colossians 1:14

Colossians 1:13-17, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

From the blood which Abel shed when he offered an animal sacrifice to God in Genesus 4:4, to the robes of the redeemed saints washed in the blood of the Lamb in Revelation 7:14—the great theme of the Holy Bible is THE BLOOD OF JESUS! We read in Revelation 19:10, “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” The spirit (nature) of all Bible prophecy is 'THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS.' The King James Bible contains 31% prophecy. In drastic contrast, the Muslim Quran contains NO prophecy! So, when you read and study the Bible (searching the Scriptures - John 5:39), you should always look for Jesus. Ask yourself, “How does this Bible passage relate to Jesus?”

The great theme of the inspired Word of God is the precious blood of Jesus Christ, without which no flesh could ever be justified with God. Only by the shedding of Christ's blood could man's sins be remitted. Hebrews 9:19-22, “For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.” Moses actually took the slain goat's blood and sprinkled it upon the Bible and the people. This symbolized Jesus' blood that would one day in the future cleanse our sins away permanently. Here is a wonderful MP3 sermon by Pastor Al Lacy (1933-2016) tiled, 'THE BLOOD SPRINKLED BOOK.' I wrote an article about this sermon because it is so important.

Why in God's dear name would anyone remove the words “through the blood from the Bible, when Jesus' blood is absolutely necessary to our salvation? I'll give you one guess and his name is SATAN!!! I guarantee that you won't find a Bible commentary like mine anywhere, that will warn you not to use the Devil's corrupt Bible revisions.
