By God's grace, I have learned a thing or two in the 44 years since I became a born-again Christian at age 13 in 1980. I have read many Bible commentaries but have often been disappointed that theologians avoid commenting on the passages I looked up. Therefore, my goal in this blog is not to comment on the entire Holy Bible; but rather, to share what I have learned. To God alone be ALL the praise and credit. Jesus is precious!

Genesis 1:26 - Jesus Was Always The Eternal Son Of God

Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

I like Miss Renee Roland on YouTube and she is my friend on Facebook, because I separate my personal feelings from my Bible preaching. Sadly, she is wrong on the topics of both denying an eternal burning Hell for sinners who reject Christ, and also for denying the eternal sonship of Jesus (which John MacArthur also denies).

I tell you Scripturally, Jesus Christ was ALWAYS the eternal Son of God (Hebrews 13:8). That is why we read the plural pronouns “us” and our in Genesis 1:26, referring to the Godhead, when God created the universe. Jesus didn't become the Son of God in His incarnate form; but rather, the Son of God became flesh (John 1:1-3, 14). Jesus' name is called 'THE WORD OF GOD' (Revelation 19:13). John 1:1-4 and 14 teach us that 'THE WORD' became flesh, and we beheld His glory as of the only begotten Son of God.

Beware of any false prophets who come along denying the Eternal Sonship of Jesus!
